Take another look at Lucky Rentals, we just put a brilliant new face on it!
This was another combined effort with Jeanne from Witch Words.
A new face to an existing WordPress site, but what a difference it made.
This was another conversion from an old HTML based website to wordpress.
The challenge with this one was that the requirement was for it operate in multiple countries, with the appropriate currency used depending on where the IP address indicated the browser was.
The Happy Migrant is now a WordPress site… Hellelujah!
The transition was pretty smooth, as I know the old and new code so well, but the owner (who is an experienced WordPress user) is very happy to be in the control seat of a WordPress site now, and able to do more with the system.
The re-launch of Book Renter has involved a considerable amount of work. There has been a slight graphical change, adding social media, adding more options for purchasing, and generally more functionality for a website concept that looks to be catching on well.
The task has been a little bit more challenging because it is NOT a WordPress site, but we manage…
Virgo Moon Pages contacted me in dire need. They were having problems with their old website and wanted me to re-create a better one, as soon as possible, as they were constantly losing business. So, I had to come up with a specifically designed online store in a matter of days! Fortunately, armed with WordPress, all the necessary data from the owner and some technical know-how, we were able to pull it off. And of course, we combined with Witch Words again…
Spirited Women’s Network wanted to create a website to be an expression of her passion, and combined once again with Witch Words, I have been able to be a part of yet another beautiful creation.
There’s some clever and tricky stuff behind the scenes too.
Lucky Rentals needed a website for advertising and booking of their campervans. The booking part of the system is a custom/bespoke build but they wanted control over the rest of the ‘advertising’ content.
So, of course, they now have a WordPress website. The site is very much supported by a quite extensive Back Office, which I can’t show you, as you need a secure username and password to get into it.
Enlightened Goddesses requirements for a website were very extensive, and a lot more than the usual, standard functionality.
This is a great example of what can be done when someone has a vision for their website, and they come across someone who can implement that vision. (More…)
Christine McMaster is a WordPress site. This is one of many team efforts (past, present and future) between Witch Words and ChilliNut, where Jeanne does the beautiful artwork for the website, and I bring it to life.
This is a WordPress site, although you probably wouldn’t guess that.
The website owner is a graphic designer, so provided the lovely graphics for me to customise into the selected theme. This presented some interesting challenges, but we got there in the end.
The owner contacted me via email one evening, I answered the email next morning, and, because of their fast response, when they went home from work that evening, they were able to play with their WordPress site and enter content.
It was up and running within 24 hours of their first enquiry! You could be too?
“A Story of identity” or “Identity VFAS”.
This is a WordPress site, plus a little bit of customisation using the ChilliNut WordPress plugin (only available on custom builds).
This is a great site, all about identity perception.
The Book Builder is a sister site to Memorial eBook. It has a lot of the same functionality, but it was a reasonable rebuild, as there are a few distinct differences to the way this one works. Check them both out!
Travel Cafe came to me wanting to offer their customers better access to Air New Zealand’s daily grab a seat deals. What we’ve managed to create together is an extension to my original email alerts of the grab a seat deals, and now you can sign up to get instant TXT alerts for your selected cities and date ranges. There are certainly some complex processes and coding involved here. (More…)
Creative Inner Child is a WordPress site. It has been enhanced with it’s own member registration (not WordPress users) who sign up for the weekly inspiration email, which is in turn, an enhancement for the dynamic display of the current inspiration on the Inspirations page. It also has my Back Office plugin for the WordPress dashboard to enable the owners to perform their maintenance on the site.
The Memorial eBook site is a wonderful reference from my point of view, in that it has a lot of the ‘smarts’ of my usual “Back Office” implementations included in the ‘Front Office’, so you can get to see what I do. It required the ability to dynamically build PDF files of the input gathered from those who contribute to the eBook via the Front Office. (More…)
The Book Renter site was someone I’d done work for before, and they’d bought a website, but wanted it renamed/rebranded and lots of functionality added/changed/deleted.
So, I had to work inside code someone else had written, and build in new features, but still keep within the structure they had written it in originally, as this kept the entire system working and flowing the way it was designed to.
The Happy Migrant site is a hand crafted custom build from ChilliNut Software where they have their own “Back Office” to give them specific control over the content of their website. They needed an integration with PayPal to enable them to sell the eBooks that they have available, but with complexities of offering discounts depending on what and how many items are purchased.
This travel agent site used to offer quotes for travel by sending an email to the travel consultant, who would then process the details, and then reply with an email. Then, the owner entered into negotiations with ChilliNut Software and we ended up building a very comprehensive TravelQuote application. (More…)
Romantic Gestures required an elegant site that provided a variety of functionality. The site is up to the usual ChilliNut Software standard where Romantic Gestures get to maintain the majority of their information in the “Back Office” that was built specifically to give them control over their own site. (More…)
The Find A Camper founders needed a booking system that could be translated into multiple languages to make it easier for their international customers to browse and read the options available for campervan rental in New Zealand. ChilliNut Software provided Find A Camper with an easy means to translate their site into as many languages as they need, all from the convenience of their secure Back Office. Once translated, everything automatically responds to you in your language of choice, including the emails sent during the communications with you as the rental negotiations progress. (More…)
