Have you ever gone on to your website (or any website), and found that it didn’t respond, and thought that the website must be down?
Well, 9 times out of 10 the website is not down, it is functioning perfectly for others, it’s just your connection to that website is not currently working.
Most times a simple fix is to turn off your modem, wait for at least 30 seconds, then turn it back on and try the website again.

When trying to change the formatting of some text in the WordPress Visual Editor, sometimes it just doesn’t change, no matter what I do?
Sound familiar? Well, there is often a reason for this, and it makes sense once you have an understanding of what’s going on behind the scenes.
The quick solution is, when you select the text that you want to change the formatting on, remove the old formatting first, using the “Remove Formatting” toolbar icon
, and then apply the new formatting to it.

Pasting content into the WordPress Visual Editor has potential invisible dangers!
When you paste content into the editor, you often bring ‘loads’ of invisible formatting with you, and this can have consequences that you don’t want to show on your post or page when viewed by the public, such as strange fonts, text sizes and other formatting.
In these cases just remember, the “Paste as Plain Text” toolbar icon
is your best friend.

When you enter content into a post or page in the WordPress Visual Editor, do you sometimes find that you are not happy with how far apart the lines are spaced?
There is a simple little trick to make some lines closer together while leaving the default ones with the same gap.
What you need to do,
is to press the Shift key and
hold it down while you press
the Return (or Enter) key.
See the (subtle) difference in the gap between lines in the above statement as opposed to the rest of this post?
The degree of difference between these two methods will vary depending on your WordPress theme.
Did you know that… when you refresh the page on your browser by pressing the F5 key (or by selecting Refresh or Reload in the menus), that the browser simply “re-sends” the last message that was sent to the server of the website you are using?
This means that whatever you last did on the browser, will be repeated.
There are no problems with this when you are just browsing through information pages, but when you are doing something that will cause updates, then that update transaction will be repeated, which can potentially cause problems.

How to Style Your Comment When You Leave a Reply
On some blog sites, there’s strange code below the comment box. A lot of people mistake it for bugs in the website code, and others just ignore it, as it looks too technical. It looks something like this:
You may use these HTML tags and attributes:
<a href=”" title=”"> <abbr title=”"> <acronym title=”"> <b> <blockquote cite=”"> <cite> <code> <del datetime=”"> <em> <i> <q cite=”"> <strike> <strong>
This is not a bug.
It is a ‘bit’ technical, but once you understand what it is, it could become very useful to you.
